Last week, February 17,2010,we had our observation in Calantipayan Elementary School during the general demonstration of the interns.My co-observers and I got a knowledge from that admirable presentation of Ms.Maritoni C. Arenas. I was also look at her lesson plan. She used the Four Pronged Approach lesson plan in her discussion.The intern has a very exciting and attractive visual materials. Her visual aids are very colorful and attractive,but some are not writen clearly in the cartolina, but in general it's very satisfactory for me because in making her visual aid she also considered the maturity level of her student.She made a material that appropriate in ability of the students. In her discussions,I was noticed that she motivates the class by giving them an activity and by throwing a question so that the students listen carefully specially during the story telling. The teacher used big book in her story telling. The technology that she used in teaching are the big book, pictures coming from the computer, flashcards, chalk, board, graphic organizer, manila paper, cartolina and pocket chart. She used those technology, even if it is considered as low-tech, to attain the objective of the lesson.I observed that she applied her creativity to make the materials interesting. In that demonstration we got an idea that we can also use in our micro teaching, notably on how to made visual aids and lesson planning.
